Welcome to My Inner Sanctuary, the place where I meet with God. My intention when I started this blog was to share my life with anyone who might be interested in hearing about it. That’s not necessarily a bad idea, but as a result, I put a lot of pressure on myself to only post well-thought-out posts. There was a problem with that because it made everything seem a bit too sanitized. My realization is that sanitized storytelling is like hiding behind a façade.
Now that I’m back, I want to take an entirely different approach. However, that doesn’t mean I won’t put together well-thought-out posts occasionally, it’s just not going to be my prime focus.
We are going to take a journey together. This is a journey of faith as well as one of abundance. In the past, I have spent too much time focusing on what I must do and what God cannot do or won’t do. The result is that I have been thinking less about abundance and more about limitation. Because that way of thinking has become habitual in my life, it has caused and continues to cause me problems.
My purpose for restarting this blog is just to share with everyone the process of change as I transition from scarcity to abundance. Money isn’t the only measure of abundance… It’s more than that, but there’s no doubt that it is part of it.
My job is to joyfully live out my faith in Christ with integrity, share about the difference He has made in my life, speak of my hope to others with humility and respect, pray for the Spirit of God to intervene, and entrust those I love over to His illuminating power.
Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
Psalm 1:1-3
We all know it’s hard to start and run your own business. I was so excited when I started publishing Amoize Magazine. My business faced more obstacles as time went on. I tried discussing it with family and friends, but they didn’t understand. Their solution for me was to find a job. I knew that God had called me to this and that I wasn’t meant for an 8-5 job.
The only thing left for me to do was to pray like I’ve never prayed before. I started using my Wednesdays to disconnect from the world and focus on hearing from God. I found out that there’s a way the world does business, and there’s God’s way. I also discovered how to grow a successful, profitable, meaningful God-first business. I learned what the Bible says about the entrepreneurial journey and I applied it to my every business situation.
Through prayer we now have 15,000 readers, spread over two dozen countries, subscribing to Amoize Magazine. Our readers and clients are like family, not only to us but also to each other. They act as one giant mastermind, sharing ideas and resources, but relying on our business/magazine to Take Care of Business.
Honestly, I believe this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what God has in store for me and other owners of small businesses. My Bible-based prayer strategy will yield positive results for your business and you. I am calling all my sisters to join me as we pray for our businesses. Click on the Email to join. Remain Blessed
